Today is October 16, 2009. An important day for followers of the blog. Today is the birthday of former Colorado Buffalo and Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kordell Stewart. Happy birthday Kordell!

But seriously folks......October 16* is an important day for me, and therefore all followers of the blog. That is because one year from today, I will be marrying the lovely and talented Ms. Kelly Galloway.
*October 16th is also National Bosses Day (not a joke). If the Chiefs win a game soon I am considering changing the poll to "Who will be celebrating National Bosses Day in 2010? Kelly or Brian.
But we have a year to talk about wedding mumbo jumbo. Today is time to discuss the wonder that is "Falcon the Balloon Boy". I'm sure most followers of the blog are familiar with Falcon. He made news this week for NOT getting in a homemade hot air balloon and NOT falling out of it. Instead, Falcon went all Anne Frank on us and hid in his attic, while a manhunt was underway for him. I even heard he threw up when he was on national tv. Can you believe that?!?! What a loser!

Because of Falcon's inability to make news for anything newsworthy and by all accounts being a little wimp, I declare that my firstborn son shall no longer be called Eagle Huntington (too close to Falcon) but he will be named Raptor. Why Raptor? Well for a number of reasons, but mainly b/c it sounds AWESOME and a Raptor is way more badass than a Falcon. Raptor Huntington.... nice.
Finally here are my predictions for the big sports weekend:
KU 36 Col 17.
Chiefs 2 Redskins 99
Bears 31 Falcons 0
Any comments and/or explanations on these predictions? Is Raptor a family name?
ReplyDeleteI'll admit I couldn't have gotten off to a worse start with the predictions. 0-3. However, my reverse-jinx on the Chiefs worked perfectly. I'll have to get a new poll up too.
ReplyDeleteI heard Michael Jackson was ordering take-out, lucky for Falcon he had to go to the bathroom at the last minute and missed the order.
ReplyDeleteAs for our recent loss in Colorado: Todd was having a flare-up during the first half, but we got him his Valtrex cream during halftime. Too bad we didn't bring enough with us to last the entire game.
OU will get stomped this weekend.
